The Rákospalotai Egyetértés Atlétikai Club , often REAC for short , is a Hungarian football club from the Rákospalota district in the 15th century. District in the northeast of Budapest . The club plays its home games in the Budai II. László Stadium , which has 10,000 seats, including 3,000 seats. The club colors are blue-yellow.
The history of the association goes back to 1912. In the years of the Second World War, the club went under. In the district, the clubs Fősped Szállítók and Volán FC (named after a bus company) remained as a refuge for football. Volán played six years between 1979 and 1991 in the first Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. , but without achieving impressive results. An 11th place in the first first division year was the greatest success. After relegation in 1991, Volán fell into disrepair and was dissolved. As a result, a new club called REAC was founded, which, although it claimed Volán's eligibility to play in the second division, relies on the club's traditions from 1912.
The club celebrated relegation in the first division in the 2005/06 season and is going into its second season in 2007/08. The most famous player is Attila Polonkai , who is also part of the Hungarian national team .
REAC, which is based in Budapest, has announced that it will be playing its games in Sopron, 200 km away, in the stadium of FC Sopron , as their own stadium is currently under construction.
