The Régnard peaks ( French Sommets Régnard ) are a group of rounded, snowy and up to 1220 m high mountains at the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . They tower 5 km north of Mount Peary .
It was discovered by participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Charcot named it after the French physician Paul Marie Léon Regnard [sic!] (1850–1927), who had worked with his father Jean-Martin Charcot . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the French name to English in 1956.
