Remy Scheurer

Rémy Scheurer (born March 11, 1934 in Neuchâtel ) is a Swiss politician from the canton of Neuchâtel .

Life

In 1957 he obtained his Lic. Phil. at the University of Neuchâtel and attended the École nationale des chartes in Paris from 1958 to 1962 . From 1962 to 1971 he was a history teacher at the grammar school in Neuchâtel, meanwhile a scholarship from the Fonds national suisse de la recherche scientifique . From 1971 to 1999 he was professor for the history of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance at the University of Neuchâtel ( Rector 1987–1991 ). From 1991 to 2003 he was a member of the National Council of the Parti Libéral Suisse .
