The Révue Internationale des Droits de l'Antiquité ( RIDA for short ) is a Belgian specialist journal and, along with the corresponding section of the Savigny Foundation for Legal History, is one of the most renowned international journals in the field of ancient legal history .

Founded in 1948 by Fernand De Visscher , it is published annually mainly in French. From 1954 onwards , the journal Archives d'histoire du droit oriental , which had been published by Jacques Pirenne since 1937, was incorporated under joint editorship with Fernand De Visscher; In 1953 both magazines appeared in a joint edition under the title Archives d'histoire du droit oriental et Révue Internationale des Droits de l'Antiquité . Since then, the Révue Internationale des Droits de l'Antiquité has focused on topics from the four areas of Roman law , ancient Greek law , Hellenistic law and ancient oriental law .
