Marina Hennig

Marina Hennig (* 1961 ) is a German sociologist .

Life

From 1980 to 1982 she was a draftsman at VEB BMK Ingenieurhochbau Berlin. She obtained her Abitur (1981–1983) at the Volkshochschule Berlin Mitte . From 1985 to 1989 she completed an external course in philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin due to a stay abroad. From 1990 to 1991 she was an interviewer for GFK Nuremberg . From 1989 to 1993 she studied sociology at the Humboldt University in Berlin and completed her diploma with the thesis “Opportunities or Risks for Girls? Attempt to approximate the gender-specific effects of a re-cutting of the training market ”. From 1990 to 1992 she was a student assistant at PSI AG (stock corporation for process control and information systems). From 1993 to 1997 she was a research assistant in third-party funded research projects. As a research assistant at the Institute for Microsociology at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Department of Microsociology, she worked from 1998 to 1999 and did her doctorate there in 1999 on the subject of "Change in values ​​and attitudes under the aspect of the authoritarianism of German parents over time". From 2000 to 2005 she was a research assistant at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Institute for Sociology, Department of Microsociology. After his habilitation in 2005 (Venia for Sociology) at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Institute for Social Sciences with the habilitation thesis : “Individuals and their social relationships. With a network theoretical contribution to overcoming the community-society dichotomy ”(1st reviewer: Hans Bertram , 2nd reviewer: Bernhard Nauck ), she became professor for sociology at the University of Mainz in August 2011 .

After a previous investigation by the VroniPlag Wiki research platform , the Humboldt University of Berlin revoked Hennig's doctoral degree; the decision is not yet final because of a lawsuit by Hennig.
