Roman Museum in the Riississen School

The Roman Museum in the school is a small archaeological museum in the elementary school in the district of Rississen in the Baden-Württemberg city ​​of Ehingen . The museum was founded in 1960 and shows archaeological finds from the former Riississen fort and the associated Vicus Riusiava . The finds include oil lamps, coins, relief casts, clay molds from a Roman counterfeiting workshop , roof tiles, household ceramics as well as metal objects and weapons from Roman and Alemannic times. A plan of the fort illustrates the organization and expansion of the historical complex.

The museum is accessible during school hours and by special arrangement.
