Rüdiger Kabst (* 1966 Bielefeld ) is a German business economist and has held a chair for international business in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Paderborn since 2012 . From 2004 to 2012 he was a professor at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . His research interests include international comparative personnel management, challenges in corporate management at the interface between efficiency, added value and sustainability (e.g. HR business partner, employer branding, eHRM, outsourcing, downsizing, interim management, flexible working hours and employment contracts, demography, diversity), eGovernment and eParticipation, internationalization of medium-sized companies and especially young technology companies, entrepreneurship as well as international forms of cooperation and market development.

As a bridge builder between science and practice, Kabst was appointed chairman of the supervisory board in 2012 by HRpepper GmbH & Co. KGaA, a management consultancy specializing in issues of human resource management.

After completing his degree in business administration in 1994, Kabst initially assisted the rector of the University of Paderborn, followed by his doctorate in 1999. He acquired his Venia Legendi there in 2003.
