Bully

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rowdy (<Ruprecht) is a rude , disrespectful , impolite and aggressive person with bad, harsh and sometimes provocative manners . The word is used derogatory and practically exclusively in relation to men . Rüpel is roughly synonymous with the term flail , but with an even stronger emphasis on aggressiveness. The verb rüpeln means 'to behave rudely '.

The name is an old short form of the name Ruprecht ; a connection with the figure of the servant Ruprecht - just like the term Rüpel first appeared in the 16th century - is obvious.
