Equipment train

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The arming train (also: rescue train ) is a train of the fire brigade . Its primary task is to provide technical assistance , in the event of traffic accidents with trapped people, often by means of an accompanying hydraulic rescue set . Ideally, the rescue train is led by a command vehicle that transports the platoon .

One group is transported with a fire fighting vehicle , while another group transports the equipment on a rescue vehicle . This train is often supplemented by a tank fire engine as a buffer vehicle and to ensure fire protection . However, many fire brigades have also procured other fire fighting vehicles ( e.g. equipment trolleys ) that are deployed in the event of a traffic accident .

In large cities in particular, rescue vehicles are used instead of the rescue vehicle , and the expensive rescue vehicles are only kept available for operations which the material on the rescue vehicle is insufficient to cope with.

In some large cities, the equipment train includes a fire brigade crane . Additional equipment required for this is often carried on a roll-off container of a swap-body vehicle.
