Vibratory plug compaction

The vibro is a ground improvement measure to increase the carrying capacity of the subsoil. Vibratory plug columns are placed in the load-bearing areas of the subsoil. This is done by a vibrating device displacing the soil in a columnar shape to the side down to the load-bearing ground and, when pulling it out , fills the cavity with suitable material, usually gravel or crushed stone . The resulting column standing in the ground is called a vibrating plug column.

Use it finds in cohesive soils , such as landfill halden .
