Răzvan Șelariu

Răzvan Șelariu (born November 2, 1983 in Reșița ) is a former Romanian artistic gymnast .

Șelariu reached sixth place at the 2001 World Gymnastics Championships with the Romanian gymnastics team. At the 2003 World Championships , the Romanians finished fifth. 2004 Șelariu was at the European championships in Ljubljana with the team before Belarus and France European champions. At the high point of the year, the Olympic Games in Athens, the Romanians won the bronze medal behind Japan and the USA.

In 2005 Șelariu won three medals at the 2005 European Gymnastics Championships in Debrecen. In the all-around competition and on the ground, he became vice European champion and third in the jump. At the world championships in the same year he reached sixth place in the all-around competition. 2006 Șelariu won at the European Championships with the team the silver medal and at the World Championships , the Romanians came fourth behind Japan.

At the 2007 European Gymnastics Championships Șelariu reached the sixth place in the all-around and tenth place at the 2007 World Gymnastics Championships . In 2008 he won the silver medal at the European Championships in Lausanne behind the Russian Anton Golozuzkow and ahead of the German Fabian Hambüchen . He was also third with the team. In the same year Șelariu took part in Beijing in his second Olympic Games , in which the Romanians were seventh in the team competition.

After his sports career Răzvan Șelariu became a coach.
