Lists on the subject

In 1954, the French company Matra began developing the R.530 . It is a short-range air-to-air missile that has been used by the French Air Force since 1963 . Two variants have been developed; one with a semi-active radar seeker and a second with an infrared seeker. The cell of the R.530 with its four large delta wings and the elongated nose is more like an AS.34 Kormoran or the AS.37 Martel - air- to-surface missile than an otherwise rather slim air-to-air missile.

The R.530 was later developed into the Super 530 .
