Roderick "RJ" Hampton (born February 7, 2001 in Dallas ) is an American basketball player .

career

Hampton's father was a professional basketball player. RJ Hampton played at Little Elm High School in the US state of Texas until 2019 and was ranked among the most promising talents in the United States in his class. He aroused the interest of several well-known universities, but announced his decision in May 2019 to switch to a professional position instead of a university. He took a contract offered by New Zealand Breakers from the oceanic league NBL in to gather in New Zealand professional experience and then for the draft process of the NBA enroll in 2020.

National team

With the U16 national team of the United States, he won the American Championship in 2017 and became the U17 world champion in 2018.
