Robert Budi Hartono (* 1940 in Indonesia ) is an Indonesian entrepreneur of Chinese origin. According to Forbes Magazine's 2018 list, he is the richest man in Indonesia with total assets estimated at $ 17.4 billion.

Life

Hartono and his brother Michael come from a family of Chinese origin. According to the US Forbes Magazine , Hartono is one of the richest Indonesians. He made his fortune with his companies in the tobacco production. He owns the Djarum company , which makes cigars. and he has shares in the tobacco manufacturer Sampoerna . He also holds shares in Bank Central Asia , which he acquired from the entrepreneur Sudono Salim . Hartono is married and has three children.
