( Regionální Dopravní Společnost , German: Regional Transport Company , formerly Šumava Bus s. r. o. ) is a small bus company in western Bohemia with headquarters in Babylon ( Czech Republic ). It is a 100% subsidiary of Regionalbus Ostbayern. She operates u. a. several cross-border bus routes with four former Passau RBO buses (one Irisbus Renault Ares, one Neoplan and two Evobus Setra S 315 UL).

The company was renamed Šumava Bus s on May 28, 2004 . r. o. based in Železná Ruda (Eisenstein Market). The aim is to link public transport in the Bavarian-Bohemian border area. On July 1, 2008, the RBO subsidiary took over a bus company in Babylon (until 2007 private entrepreneur Miroslav Pazdera, since 2008 RDS Bus s. R. O. ) And relocated its headquarters there. As a result, his fleet has grown from three to around twelve vehicles. Železná Ruda is now a branch and continues to be responsible for the lines in this area. Since the takeover, the company has been officially called RDS bus s. r. o. , since the area of ​​application is no longer limited to the Bohemian Forest (Šumava). However, Šumava Bus will continue to be written on the three former RBO buses .

Operating areas

RDS bus s. r. o. operates several regional bus routes in the Bohemian Forest ( Czech Šumava - hence the company's original name). Some of the lines cross borders to Germany in order to promote the merging of the Bavarian Forest and Bohemian Forest National Parks .
