REDD (* 25. January 1989 in the UK as Amy Louise Aldred ) is a British singer who became famous through their participation in X Factor.

Career

REDD began to orient itself towards music at the age of eleven. After graduating from the University of Bolton , she began her musical career as a member of the girl group Rio . Together they performed in various pubs, clubs or at Christmas concerts.

She became known in 2010 for participating in the British talent show X-Factor . She was then signed by the record label Kontor Records .

In autumn 2011 her first single, I'm Day Dreaming , was released, which she recorded with R&B star Akon and rapper Snoop Dogg . The song is a remix of the song of the same name by DJ Drama . I'm Day Dreaming rose to the top of the charts in Finland and reached number 2 in Japan. The song is included on the sampler Kontor Top Of The Clubs 2012.01 .

She then worked two years later with Pitbull and Qwote on her second single, which is called Bedroom . It was released on March 16, 2012 and reached the upper half of the chart in German-speaking countries. The song can be found on the sampler Kontor House of House Vol. 15 .

Both singles were both produced and remixed by Swiss DJ David May .
