RQA

RQA was the call sign of the first Russian transmitter , which was located near Arkhangelsk and went into operation in 1913. The RQA transmitter used three free-standing steel lattice towers as antenna towers , which carried a triangular antenna . In 1937 the station was modernized. Today the Archangel TV tower , a 208 meter high, free-standing lattice tower , is located on the site of the facility .
