RSID

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rapid Stain Identification Series (RSID) is a group of rapid tests for the detection of human body fluids .

Even small amounts of saliva , blood , urine or sperm can be clearly assigned to humans in forensic technology.

There are no cross-reactions with animal or other traces, i.e. H. this is the first test that does not react to animal material for any of the liquids described. The rapid test was developed in the United States and Germany for the FBI and the CSI . In Germany it is mainly used by the criminal investigation offices and investigative authorities for pre-tests for further laboratory analyzes. This reduces the number of negative DNA tests in the laboratory, since non-human DNA can be excluded in advance.
