RUFO (spelling of the logo: .RUFO ) is the first and so far only German-Russian news agency . Editor-in-chief and owner is Gisbert Mrozek.

Moscow-based RUFO has been delivering news from Moscow , Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to German radio stations and print media ( Der Spiegel , Focus , Facts ), the Protestant press service epd , to the Berlin-based company since 1989 via a network of correspondents dpa subsidiary dpa / rufa-Radiodienst (a news service for radio stations in the form of spoken current news blocks ) and dpa / rufa-Audio service , as well as a daily newspaper pool in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

In 1998 RUFO started to publish news on its own website www.rufo.ru. This resulted in the German-language internet newspaper Russland-Aktuell , which includes several city and regional editions (for example moskau.ru , Petersburg-Aktuell , Kaliningrad-Aktuell , Russland-News ), as well as various thematic portals (energieforum.ru on energy topics in Commissioned by the German Energy Agency , petersburger-dialog.de , drf-Infozentrum.de for scholarship holders).

From 1992 to 1998 RUFO was the Moscow correspondence office for Focus .
