Raúl Pérez
Raúl Pérez (born February 14, 1967 in Tijuana ) is a retired Mexican boxer in superbantam and bantamweight .
Career
On March 29, 1984 he successfully made his professional debut. On October 29, 1988 he became the WBA bantamweight world champion when he beat Miguel Lora by a unanimous judge's decision. He defended this title seven times in a row and lost to Greg Richardson in February 1991 .
On October 7 of the same year he boxed against Luis Mendoza for the WBA world championship in super bantamweight and won by split point decision. However, he lost this belt in his first title defense in March of the following year against Wilfredo Vázquez by TKo
