Raul Vale

Raúl Vale (born April 20, 1944 in Maracaibo , † December 7, 2003 in Houston ) was a Mexican singer, composer and actor.

Vale was the son of the Venezuelan radio and television pioneer Nicolás Vale Quintero and the Mexican Elvira Castilla Herrera . He started playing guitar at the age of five, studied classical piano from the age of eleven and later mastered numerous instruments, including the violin, bass and harp in addition to the piano and guitar. He produced and hosted programs such as Bienvenido a su casa , La hora de Raúl Vale and Buenas tardes musicales for the Mexican broadcaster Canal 13 . He recorded more than 40 albums, including 14 on the Melodia label .

As an actor, Vale has appeared in four feature films, as well as in various telenovelas and two theater productions. In Chile he was popular mainly as a humorist. In addition to film scores, including for La guerra de los pasteles by René Cardona , he composed around 700 songs that were interpreted by Vicente Fernández , Angélica María , Los Joao , Alberto Vázquez Gurrola , Herp Albert , Vikky Carr , Oscar Fontana and Charilyn, among others . Vale died of lung cancer in December 2003.
