The Raben Group BV is a Dutch , family-run logistics company . The first company of the Raben Group was founded in Meddo / Winterswijk , the Netherlands , in 1931 .

After the fall of the Iron Curtain, Raben began its expansion in Eastern Europe, initially with a branch in Poland, then in the Ukraine and the Baltic countries. In 2008, companies were taken over in the Czech Republic and Hungary and branches were established in Romania and Bulgaria. Following the purchase of the system transport division from the insolvent Birkart Globistics Group, there were further acquisitions of forwarding companies in Germany, which were merged in 2014 to form Raben Trans Europe Germany . In Italy, Raben has increased its shares in the local SITTAM and has been the majority shareholder since 2019.

The Raben Group is currently active in 12 European countries: the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The comprehensive transport network has a total storage area of ​​1,000,000 m² and approx. 8,000 means of transport.
