Telekom Baku (formerly Rabita Baku ) is an Azerbaijani women's volleyball club from Baku .

history

Rabita Baku was founded in 2004 and has played in the Azerbaijani Super League since then. In 2007/08 the women took part in a European competition for the first time and were eliminated in the CEV Cup against OK Hit Nova Gorica . 2008/09 Rabita reached the quarter-finals in the Challenge Cup and lost there against Club Voleibol Albacete , but won the Azerbaijani Championship for the first time. In 2009/10 they became national champions again and reached third place in the CEV Cup against Uralochka Yekaterinburg . In 2010/11 Rabita first took part in the Champions League and only lost in the final against Vakifbank Telekom Istanbul . At the Volleyball Club World Cup 2011 in Doha , Rabita was able to return the favor by beating Istanbul in the final. In 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Rabita was again the Azerbaijani champion. In 2013 they lost again in the Champions League final against Vakifbank Telekom Istanbul.

Since 2015 the association has been running as Telekom Baku .
