Challenge Cup 2008/09 (women)

The 2008/09 season of the Challenge Cup began on October 11, 2008 with the first round and ended with the final on March 15, 2009. The Italian club Monte Schiavo Jesi won the final in its own hall against the Greek representative Panathinaikos Athens .

mode

The first two rounds were played in the knockout system with two legs. In the third round, the sixteen winners of the second round were joined by the teams that were eliminated in the first round of the CEV Cup . Up to and including the quarterfinals, the knockout system continued with home and away legs. The winners of the quarterfinals qualified for the Final Four .
