The 2008/09 season in the CEV Cup began with the first round on November 4, 2008 and ended with the final on March 15, 2009. Asystel Novara won the final in its own hall against the Russian representative Uralochka NTMK Yekaterinburg . The Rote Raben Vilsbiburg took fourth place.

The competition was carried out in a knockout system. From the first round to the round of 16 there were home and away games. The winners of the quarter-finals qualified for the Final Four in Novara.
