Volero Le Cannet is a French volleyball club from Le Cannet , whose first women's team plays in the highest national league and in the European Cup.

history

The main club was founded in 1968 as Rocheville Le Cannet . In 1994 the volleyball department was created. In the 2007/08 season, the team reached the national cup final. She also made it into the Final Four in the CEV Cup , where she finished second after beating OK Roter Stern Belgrade and losing to Scavolini Pesaro in the final . In 2011 Le Cannet was in the national cup final for the second time. In 2015, the club won the cup in the final against RC Cannes . He was also runner-up for the first time. In the 2016/17 season, Le Cannet came second in the main round in the playoffs and became French runners-up after a 2: 3 in the final against ASPTT Mulhouse . This qualified the club for the 2017/18 Champions League . With two 2: 3 defeats against Minchanka Minsk , he missed the group stage and continued to play in the CEV Cup . There Le Cannet was eliminated in the sixteenth finals against the German champions Schweriner SC .

In 2018, the Swiss first division team Volero Zurich moved to France and merged with Rocheville Le Cannet.
