Race Across Italy

The Race Across Italy (RAI) is a two-day extreme cycling event that has been held annually in Italy at the end of April and beginning of May since 2013. The approximately 775 km long route with about 10,000 meters of altitude leads as a circular route across Italy.

The “Adriatico-Tirreno-Adriatico” (RAI) race is one of the toughest cycling races in Europe and also a qualifying race for the Race Across America due to its length and the altitude to be overcome . It starts in the individual classification and in teams of two or four.

The start and finish is in Silvi , in central Italy on the Adriatic coast . The annually varying route (between 775 and 835 km) starts at the sea, goes across Italy to the Tyrrhenian Sea and back in a circular route.

The first edition in 2013 was won by the Austrian Christoph Strasser . In 2018 the race was held for the sixth time.
