Rachel Winter
Rachel Winter (birth name Rachel Rothman) is an American film producer . At the Academy Awards 2014 , she was nominated for Best Picture for the Dallas Buyers Club .
Life
She grew up in Los Angeles. She had her first contact with the film business during an internship in the production department of a soft porn production company, which she received through an acquaintance in the Jewish community center. She first worked as Vice President of Production for Cary Brokaw's Avenue Pictures in an established studio . There she produced the film Wayward Son . She then went freelance and was involved in productions such as The Lather Effect and Brooklyn Rules .
In 2014 she and Robbie Brenner were nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Picture for the film Dallas Buyers Club . She is married to Terence Winter , who was nominated for an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay that same year for The Wolf of Wall Street .
