The Rada Mediów Narodowych ( German Rat Nationaler Medien , abbreviated RMN ) is a five-member supervisory body in Poland , which is responsible for both the appointment and the deselection of the station bosses and the supervisory boards of public broadcasting , i.e. Telewizja Polska , Polskie Radio as well Polska Agencja Prasowa , is responsible.

Members

Three out of five members are determined by the Sejm majority and the remaining two are appointed by the incumbent president from the nominations proposed by the two largest opposition parties in parliament. The term of office of a member is six years.

Jacek Kurski was able to prevail against three competitors in the context of a tender for the chairman of Telewizja Polska . With the exception of Juliusz Braun , all council members voted for him.
