Rade Bogdanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Раде Богдановић ; born May 21, 1970 in Sarajevo ) is a former professional footballer. Bogdanović was a striker and is known from his season at Werder Bremen .
career
Bogdanović started his football career in 1987 at the age of 17 with FK Željezničar Sarajevo , before moving to the South Korean K-League for the Pohang Steelers for the 1992/93 season. After four years he left the club for Japan to JEF United Ichihara , where he only played one season. For the season 97/98 he moved to Atlético Madrid , where he was however awarded the main part of the season to NAC Breda . So he moved for the 98/99 season from Atlético Madrid to Bremen for 1,350,000 DM. In his five years in the Bundesliga , he scored 15 goals in 75 games. His penultimate station was Arminia Bielefeld , but he remained goalless there. Most recently he played for Al Wahda (Abu Dhabi) . In the summer of 2005, Bogdanović resigned from professional football at the age of 35.

Bogdanović's greatest success was winning the DFB Cup in 1999 with Werder Bremen.
