Radegast (beer)

Radegast is a Czech beer brand and brewery in Nošovice near Frýdek-Místek. The brewery was founded in 1965. For the first time in 1988 annual production exceeded 1 million hectoliters, in 1998 it was 2 million hectoliters. For a long time, the brewery's products were designed by Petr Urban . His character Ruda Pivrnec (German: true beer drinker; free translation: Rudolf Biergeniesser) became a synonym for Radegast's beer.

The brewery has belonged to Plzeňský Prazdroj as (the manufacturer of Pilsner Urquell ) since 1999 and has been part of the international Asahi group since 2017 .
