Radio Astronomy Frequency Committee in the Asia-Pacific region

The Radio Astronomy Frequency Committee in the Asia-Pacific region ( RAFCAP ) is a scientific committee that deals with the use of frequencies for radio astronomy .

The RAFCAP was founded during the AP-RASC meeting from July 31 to August 4, 2001 in Tokyo and represents the interests of radio astronomers in the states of Asia and the Pacific region. Membership is open to representatives of organizations dealing with radio astronomy.

The RAFCAP is based in Mitaka , and its current chairman is Tasso Tzioumis of the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF). The current secretary is Haiyan Zhang (National Astr. Obs., China).
