Blind Power (formerly Radio Blind Power) is a Swiss association that operates a platform for audio description , sport and culture , where, among other things, football games of the Super League are described live.

history

Blind Power was created in 1997 at the Zollikofen School for the Blind . Since 2006 it has been its own association that has operated an integration radio, where blind , visually impaired and sighted people produce programs together - both for its own audio platform and for other clients. In addition to radio operations, Blind Power is committed to the integration and radio training of blind and visually impaired people.

For the 2016/17 season, Blindpower broadcast a live audio description of a football game for each round of the Super League for the first time. The cooperation with the Swiss Football League has proven itself, so that four out of five Super League games are now broadcast. Blind Power differs from conventional offers from Swiss football clubs in that radio commentary is neutral and not as fanatic.
