Radio Dechovka is a private Czech radio station focusing on folk and pop music with special programs for brass music from Bohemia , Moravia and Silesia . He also plays songs from "old Prague" as well as popular songs from the 1960s and tramp and wanderer songs.

On July 7, 2009, the station began broadcasting on the Internet and later received a national license for traditional broadcasting. Currently (2016) Radio Dechovka broadcasts from the studio of the Kojetice station. Radio Dechovka broadcasts its program over the medium wave frequency 1233 kHz over up to 5 stations with low transmission power. Radio Dechovka also broadcasts on the medium wave frequency 792 kHz.

In the years 2016-2017, the radio program of Radio Dechovka was also transmitted digitally via DVB-T k.46 in the regional multiplex 4 for Prague and the surrounding area. Radio Dechovka broadcasts in DVB-T2 in multiplex 23. Other regional stations:

Radio Dechovka regularly produces its own radio programs that are broadcast in Czech. These include the following:

  • Songs on request - every day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Radio Dechovka's most popular show, telephone requests from listeners are played.
  • Songs with Miloň - Mondays and Fridays from 4 p.m. Author's show by the actor from the Jára Cimrman Theater Miloň Čepelka. We listen to music and learn a lot of interesting things about the music world.
  • Tea at 4 a.m. - on Tuesday from 4 p.m. the presenter and singer of the band Strahovanka Marta Adámková will speak to people from the music industry.
  • The world of brass bands - on Thursday from 4 p.m. (small orchestra) and until 11 p.m. (large orchestra) Moderation: Václav Hlaváček, editor-in-chief of the magazine Naše muzika, which specializes in brass and folk music.
  • Cabaret - on Wednesday from 4 p.m. the conductor of the Golden Big Band Prague, Petr Sovič, remembers the melodies and bands of the past years.
  • Old Country Polka Time - Saturday at 1am and 7am the show is prepared by Jana and Libor Vítů, Czech expats living in the USA. They play Czech songs for compatriots.
  • Cultural service - every weekday at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. and on weekends at 9 a.m. - current selection of cultural events.
  • The smell of the campfire - every day from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. - songs from hikers, festivals and rehearsals
  • Orchestra half an hour - every day from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - a musical special that focuses on well-known instrumental compositions and works
  • Pub entertainment - every day 10:05 pm - 10:25 pm - evening show "with an asterisk" full of peppery humor and shirtless entertainment in the form of multinational songs.
