Radio Donna was a Flemish radio broadcaster of the VRT , which mainly broadcast modern pop hits. The station had existed since March 1992 and stopped broadcasting at the beginning of January 2009 after 16 years. In addition to the radio program, the broadcaster often organized successful parties.
Every year Donna broadcast the top hits of the year in the last week. With this broadcast, Radio Donna reached more than two million listeners.
The station started on March 28, 1992. In less than ten years the station has become the most popular in Flanders, but after a short time it lost this position again to Radio 2. Since the start of commercial radio stations in 2002, Radio Donna has also had to gain market share hand them over (mainly to Q-music ).
The presenter David van Ooteghem is in the Guinness Book of Records as the first presenter with a radio broadcast under water at a water temperature of −25 ° C.
