History and program

Radio Dreyeckland is the successor station of Radio Verte Fessenheim , which fought against the Fessenheim nuclear power plant and was also attended by moderators from Switzerland and southern Baden. According to the Medienchronik Nordwestschweiz, the former Radio Verte Fessenheim has been called Radio Dreyeckland since April 1981 .

The anti-nuclear power radio became a versatile links-alternative-green cultural station for the three-country corner with different studios and station locations. Applications for broadcasting licenses have also been made in Switzerland and Germany. In Switzerland there was none, in Germany only in 1988, from which then Radio Dreyeckland (Freiburg im Breisgau) emerged .

Since the Swiss parliamentary group did not receive a license, they shared the frequency and the transmitter location with Dreyeckland, southern Alsace, until the 1990s, but had their own small studio in Saint Louis.

In the course of the 1990s the studio in Saint Louis was given up. The Basel programs only became rarer until they were then completely discontinued. The Swiss have not been involved in any Radio Dreyeckland since then.

Radio Dreyeckland Südelsass has since developed into a commercial music station and moved the main station from the Großer Belchen (French: Grand Ballon) to the Belvedere near Mulhouse, while maintaining frequency 104.6.

At Colmar there is still Radio Dreyeckland Libre, which broadcasts a separate program and corresponds more to the original spirit of Radio Verte Fessenheim.
