Radio Gold is a private radio broadcaster of the dunk media group based in Berlin . The organizer is radio B2 GmbH , whose sole shareholder is Mr. Oliver Dunk, who also acts as the broadcaster's managing director. It is aimed at a national audience with an oldie-based program format , hourly news and short sporadic blocks of information.

Emergence

Radio Gold is the successor to the station Oldiestar , which could be received terrestrially from 2004 to 2011 in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and played music from the 60s to 80s. As early as 2007, the German-speaking and Schlager share on Oldiestar was continuously expanded until Oldiestar was finally replaced on the terrestrial frequency by the pure hit station Radio B2 in the summer of 2011 . From then on, B2 continued to operate Oldiestar as a pure webstream until December 2012, although part of the old team of moderators continued to moderate it.

At the turn of the year 2012/13, Oldiestar was also discontinued as a webstream and replaced by the pure online playlist Radio Gold with a focus on the 70s and also something from the 60s, which are only available on Saturday afternoon and evening (with repetition partly on Sunday and completely on Tuesday) interrupted by pre-produced program blocks with moderation. Advertising and hourly news are taken over by operator B2, the Dr. Rock comes from the time as an oldie star.

program

Under the motto "Real Classics", the music of the 1960s and early 1970s is one of the program focuses. The program "Jammin 'Oldies" is delivered by the company Radiotrax , the "American Top 40" by Premiere Networks . With Dr. Rock , the current program is complemented by anecdotes from the world of music.

A special feature are digitized original recordings from the 1970s from the archives of the AFN soldier broadcaster , which are played on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

reception

The program can be received in the Berlin-Brandenburg region via DAB + (channel 7B, 72 kb / s) and as a worldwide live stream in three formats (e.g. MP3 with 128 kB) on the Internet. Around five million listeners live in the distribution area. A mobile app for smartphones is aimed at users of iPhone, Android and Nokia devices. Cable reception is not taken into account either on the broadcaster's website or by the supervisory media authority.
