Radio RSN
Radio RSN ( Russian Русская Служба Новостей РСН , German Russian news service ) is a Russian radio station close to the government from Moscow , which broadcasts its programs nationwide and has the largest market share of all stations. Radio RSN was previously known as Russian Radio 2 (Русское радио-2) , since November 21, 2005 it has had its current name. At the same time, Radio RSN is also a national radio news center, producing all of the news and more than 50 information programs for the largest radio stations in the country and a well-known news website.

The station and the radio news center of the same name are owned by the government- affiliated holding Russkaja Mediagruppa (Русская Медиагруппа) , whose owners are unknown with the exception of the largest Russian oil company Lukoil .
Radio RSN received a new management team in April 2007. Editor-in-chief Vsevolod Nerosnak and General Director Alexander Shkolnik were seconded to the state-owned television broadcaster Kanal 1 (Первый Канал) to bring Radio RSN to the government line.

Radio RSN is a music station with a mixture of national and international music. The station is close to the government of Vladimir Putin .
According to instructions issued by the new leadership team in April 2007, Radio RSN is only allowed to report on politicians loyal to the government and not even mention the opposition of the movement The Other Russia by name. Instead, the opposition has to be described in the RSN broadcasts as "liberal-radical".

Radio RSN can be received nationwide in Russia. The station is broadcast via FM . Radio RSN is the market leader among Russian broadcasters with the largest market share nationwide (around 19%, 2003 survey). Together with the connected radio stations, it dominates Russian radio. With the exception of little Echo Moskwy, there is no longer any independent radio in Russia.

Since July 2003, Radio RSN has also been producing the program Russkoje Meschdunarodnoje Radio ('Russian International Radio') with the Russian foreign broadcaster Voice of Russia , which is broadcast over the frequencies of the Voice of Russia and can thus be received in many countries around the world.
