Radio column

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Radiofeuilleton was a radio program broadcast daily by Deutschlandradio Kultur .

The national radio broadcaster called the radio section "modern themed and discourse radio". It was broadcast daily from March 7, 2005 to June 20, 2014 from 9:07 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Monday to Friday from 14:07 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

As part of a program reform on June 21, 2014, it was replaced by thematically structured individual programs on literature, music and interviews so that the topics appear more balanced.

Content

Deutschlandradio Kultur described its program as the "heart of the program", which should address "current events in art, culture and science" as well as business and politics. The classic news style should be "abandoned from time to time" and tabloids should be "not a taboo". A fixed hour structure should make orientation easier.

The program consisted of several short individual programs, which were put together to form a radio column : The topic addressed a current topic from the fields of culture , science or politics . The moderator of the show discussed it with an expert. In the program music , the music editor of the program took up certain genres or artists; usually with a current reference such as a round birthday or death anniversary. The cultural news was broadcast every half hour . The radio play series Wurfsendung was broadcast several times .

Awards

In 2005, the Radiofeuilleton was awarded the Puk Journalist Prize of the German Cultural Council for the radio sector. The reason for the award was that the radio section is a daily radio broadcast “with a clear cultural-political accent”, “in which cultural-political contexts are presented over a longer period of time.” It would “ideally serve the information and educational mission of public service broadcasters to. The contributions have been thoroughly researched ”and“ a broad spectrum of forms of presentation is chosen and cultural-political issues are approached in different ways ”.

In 2010 the moderator and culture editor Jürgen König was honored with the media prize of the Chamisso Academy .
