Uwe Wohlmacher

Uwe Wohlmacher (born December 31, 1951 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German radio editor and radio presenter as well as a writer for print media and a photographer. Uwe Wohlmacher lives and works in Berlin.

Live and act

Wohlmacher studied journalism, political science and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin from 1974 to 1978. Since 1978 he has worked for various ARD broadcasters such as RIAS and SFB (RBB) as a freelance editor, presenter, author for rock and pop music and in the field of music management. He has written articles for daily newspapers such as Tagesspiegel , Berliner Morgenpost , TIP and Zitty, was co-author of the rock music lexicon and author of the “Idole” series at Ullstein-Verlag.

For several years he also contributed to TV programs. He worked as a spokesperson for film, television and commercial dubbing productions and headed the press and public relations department at the Brandenburg Theater .

Since the early 1980s, Wohlmacher spent years as a manager of Berlin rock bands.

He is the music editor at Deutschlandradio Kultur . In January 2013 he took over the program Sunday puzzle on Deutschlandradio Kultur, developed by Hans Rosenthal and previously moderated by Christian Bienert . On May 28, 2017, he hosted the show for the last time.

From 1990 to 1991 Wohlmacher worked for the Raab Galerie Berlin and was a. a. decisive for the press and media work of the exhibition: “Rainer Fetting - paintings and sculptures. Berlin / New York ”in the National Gallery Berlin (East).

In 1999 he worked as a freelance artistic consultant for the photo exhibition "Berlin - People Show Their City" by Lisa Lorenz and Herbert Benz at the Berlin Academy of the Arts. The exhibition was shown in Los Angeles that same year.
