The radium source in the Georgenthal district of the town of Klingenthal in the Saxon Vogtland district is a source of radon . Such radioactive spring waters are typical for the inner contact zone of the granite and also occur in other locations in the vicinity. The radium source feeds the Steinbach, which rises a little further north. The old Aschbergschanze was located below the radium source . The radium source is part of a circular route in the Steinbachtal and Steindöbratales . A small sign marks the source on the forest path. The Floßgrabenweg runs west of the radium source.

At the beginning of the 1930s, the radium source was expanded for tourism and its water was advertised for drinking cures, among other things.

Today there is a drinking water catchment area around the radium spring via spring catchments. The drinking water is taken directly from the stream in summer dry periods.
