Rado (Hausmeier)
Rado was home Meier of Austrasia in the years from 613 to 616/17.
family
His father was Autharius , a high functionary at the king's court and his mother was Aige, heir to large estates at Jouarre . His brothers were also famous: Ouen and Adon , both of whom were canonized.
Life
After the death of Queen Brunichild , Rado was made an Austrasian house man by King Chlothar II . He had previously betrayed the affair of Sigibert the Second and his great-grandmother. He also seems to have had possessions in Burgundy , where Warnachar II , appointed by Chlothar, acted as the caretaker . As early as 616/17, Chucus (Hugo) Rado followed as an Austrasian house man. The Reuil-en-Brie monastery is said to have been founded by him.
