Radulf of Bourges
Radulf von Bourges (also: Raoul or Rodolphe de Bourges, Raoul von Turenne; * around 800 in Cahors ; † June 21, 866 in Bourges ) was Archbishop of Bourges from 840/841 and is the saint and namesake of the Catholic Church ( Ralf ) venerated (June 21).
Life
Radulf was a son of Count Rudolf von Cahors. According to various sources, he was abbot in St-Médard zu Soissons or a cleric in Soulignac . As bishop he took part in numerous synods and wrote an Instructio pastoralis (pastoral letters for the clergy) dependent on the Capitula of Theodulf of Orléans .
He found his resting place in the church of St-Ursin in Bourges. He is shown in episcopal regalia.
