Rafał Riedel

Rafał Riedel (born April 11, 1975 ) is a Polish political scientist and professor at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Opole .

Life

Rafał Riedel graduated from the University of Silesia in Political Science and Journalism in 1999 with a Masters degree. In 2004 he received his PhD in political science. Since 2006 he has been employed at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Opole and at the same time at other institutions. In 2007 and 2008, for example, Riedel was on a DAAD research grant at the Max Planck Institute for Social Research in Cologne and the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn. In 2009 he was at the European University Institute in Florence and then until 2011 at the ARENA Center for European Studies at the University of Oslo . In 2011 Rafał Riedel became a visiting professor at the Faculty of European Studies at the Jagiellonian University and was this until 2015. At the same time, he was a research assistant at the ETH Zurich from 2011 to 2012 and a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen from 2012 to 2016 . From 2014 to 2015 he taught at the Institute for European Studies at Chemnitz University of Technology . In 2014 he completed his habilitation at the University of Wroclaw and was appointed professor at the University of Opole in 2015.
