Rafael Bello Peguero

Rafael Bello Peguero (born December 1, 1932 in Baní ) is a Dominican theologian .

Bello Peguero studied medicine and philosophy at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo and obtained a doctorate in both subjects (1956 and 1970). He also completed a degree in theology at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca . During his student days he directed the choir of the Convento de los Dominicos at the Cathedral of Santo Domingo. He was ordained a priest in 1966 and then held various church positions, including as Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo , Pastor of the Cathedral of Santo Domingo and Chaplain of the Templo del Palacio Nacional and at the Hospital Padre Billini . He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Museo de las Casas Reales .
