Raffaele Mauro Petriccione
Raffaele Mauro Petriccione (* 1963 in Taranto , also Mauro Raffaele Petriccione and Raffaele Petriccione ) is an Italian EU official. He has been Director General of the Directorate General for Climate Policy since March 2018 .
Life
Raffaele Petriccione studied law at the University of Bari with a degree in 1982. After a brief period of research at the same university, he moved to London in 1984, first as a research fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and then as a postgraduate student at the London School of Economics . He received an LL.M. in 1986. from the University of London . In September 1987 he joined the European Commission. Here he worked on numerous tasks in the field of trade policy. From 2014 to the beginning of 2018 he was Deputy Director General of Directorate General Trade (DG TRADE).
