Ragnar Arnalds

Ragnar Arnalds (born July 8, 1938 ) is an Icelandic politician ( People's Alliance , Left-Green Movement ) and author.

Life

He studied literature and philosophy in Sweden from 1959 to 1961 and then law at the University of Iceland . In the 1960s he was a journalist for the newspaper Frjáls Þjóð ( Free Nation ).

Ragnar took over the chairmanship of the People's Alliance in 1968 and remained in this position until 1977. From 1978 to 1979 he was Minister of Education and Transport and from 1980 to 1983 Minister of Finance. Today he is a member of the Left-Green movement ( Vinstrihreyfingin - grænt framboð ).

Ragnar is chairman of Heimssýn , a non-partisan organization of Eurosceptics .
