The Raiffeisen computer science GmbH & Co KG ( R-IT ) is an IT service provider of the Austrian Raiffeisen Banking Group , headquartered in Vienna . The majority owners are Raiffeisen Zentralbank (47.65%) and Raiffeisen Landesbank Noe-Wien (47.75%).
Raiffeisen Informatik was founded on October 28, 1969 with the company name Raiffeisen Rechenzentrum .
Raiffeisen Informatik's services include outsourcing , security services (including R-IT CERT ), IT operations, IT & software consulting, client management and output services . According to IDC Marktforschung (Competitive Profiles and Analysis of Leading IT Services Players in Austria, 2010), the company is the largest IT services provider in Austria.
With over 100 branches, Raiffeisen Informatik is represented in 32 countries worldwide. On October 31, 2013, 68 of the 850 employees in Austria were registered with the Public Employment Service for dismissal, many of them over 50. The dismantling of the contractors is also planned.
In January 2016 it became known that Raiffeisen Informatik would like to part with external customers and in future would like to concentrate exclusively on the technical support of the Raiffeisen banks. External customers are to be transferred to a subsidiary, after which this business area is to be sold. External customers include Asfinag, A1, Casinos Austria, Hofer, the Lower Austrian regional clinics, ÖBB, Post, Strabag and Verbund.
On October 23, 2019, Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH became Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH & Co KG.
