Rainer (constable of Tripoli)
Rainer ( Latin Rainerius constabularius , French Renier , * before 1125, † after 1160) was constable of the County of Tripoli .
Rainer's origin is unknown. He is documented in 1140 and 1143 as constable of Tripoli. His predecessor in office was Silvius (recorded in 1139), Rainer's term of office ended in 1153 at the latest - from that year Arnold von Crest was officially named as constable.
He had a daughter who married three times:
- Maria (* around 1160/65; † after 1228)
- ∞ I) around 1180 Baldwin of Ibelin († around 1187)
- ∞ II) around 1188 Wilhelm von Tiberias († before 1204)
- ∞ III) before 1204 Gerhard von Ham , constable of Tripoli
The date of his death is unknown, since his daughter had children in her third marriage, their birth is dated to 1160/65, so Rainer must have been alive when they were conceived.
