Rainer Balloff

Rainer Balloff (born May 10, 1944 in Halberstadt ) is a German lawyer and psychologist. He was a research assistant at the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the Free University of Berlin and an author specializing in family law and legal psychology.

Life

Rainer Balloff was born in Halberstadt in 1944 as the son of a bank clerk and a lawyer.

He graduated from high school in Berlin in 1964. He then studied 1964-1969 jurisprudence and 1969-1974 Psychology .

In 1975 Balloff was employed at the Institute for Educational Sciences and Psychology at the Free University of Berlin. In 1990 he did his doctorate there on the subject of "Single parenting and joint parental care after separation and divorce - A theoretical and empirical comparative study."

In his publications he deals with family law aspects of forensic psychology such as single parenting, child abduction, child welfare and litigation.
